2. Select the object, RIGHT COLUMN> Modify> Modifier List> OBJECT-SPACE MODIFIERS> Substitute
3. RIGHT COLUMN> Modify> Substitute> Parameters> Substitute Assignements> ‘Pick Scene object’ or ‘Select XRef Object…’
